Trail-A-Dad

First outing on the trail-a-bike. Kid needs longer legs…but he can hang on just fine!

Rollin’ with dad.

Big Kitty

The awe provided by being able to see stuff you’d never normally see – illustrated by a two year old.

Big Kitty

With record high temps for mid-march; we took a little outing to the zoo. Great way to enjoy the weather.

Miss ya, Uncle Leo.

Funerals suck. But, there’s something about them. Something weird and beautiful that happens when a family comes together for one. It’s peaceful, happy, yet sad. Funny how things affect us, but it’s just something that was all too apparent today at my Great Uncle Leo’s funeral. I’ve noticed it before, just not something I’d generally talk about. These things, on my mom’s (Gilles) side have always been relatively happy events. The service is the usual Catholic service with mass, but afterward it’s out to lunch and have a good time. Be happy is clearly the mantra. Look at what legacy has been born from our departed loved one. It’s neat.

Life goes on; until it doesn’t. Enjoy every second. I know Leo did.
