Perfect Weekend
Got back home Sunday afternoon from a very nice trip back to my parents’ place near Taylor. I think it was about as nice of a mini-vacation that you can get. The weather was abnormally warm for October, so getting out and enjoying it was easy (even though the wind was pretty strong at times). Colors were at and just past peak. The wind cleaned a lot of leaves off the trees though.
Nolan enjoyed being out in the country and was into everything as usual. I put a few miles on the bike, and all of us got to relax. Nolan and Grace got to play together at a playground in BRF Saturday afternoon. That was followed by a nice dinner with everyone except dad who was getting through combining soybeans in the perfect weather.
When we get back it’ll be cold and probably miserable. Couldn’t have timed it more perfectly this time.
